FULFILLMENT PROCESS

Most orders are shipped the same day or the next day, depending on what time we receive the order. It may take longer if we are temporarily out of stock on an item, but to minimize the wait, we may have the item drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer/ distributor. If we do have an item that you ordered shipped directly from the manufacturer/distributor, you may receive your order in two separate shipments instead of the order arriving complete. The bottom line is that we value your business and we will do everything possible to ensure that your order gets to you as quickly as possible.

If we are out of an item that you ordered, we will attempt to contact you. We will let you know when the item will be available to you and give you the option of waiting for the item to ship or having the item removed from your order.

Certain items such as books and cd's may be combined to save on shipping. We will review your order and let you know the total.

Shipping Methods
o FedEx Ground - 3-7 business days.
o UPS Ground - 5 to 7 business days.
o USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope - Delivery within 2 to 4 business days. (This applies to CD & book purchases only.)
o USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Parcel - - Delivery within 2 to 4 business days
o Canpost Letter Mail & Small Packet (Air).
o Canpost Expedited
o Most orders require 24-48 hours processing time before shipping.
o Vermiculture Canada does not process orders during weekends.
o No deliveries will be made on Saturday or Sunday.
o Vermiculture Canada does not guarantee same day shipping.
o Exact delivery times to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico cannot be guaranteed.

Live Delivery Guarantee
Our worms are guaranteed to be delivered alive. In the case of the worms not arriving alive, we will either refund your money or reship the worms to you. Since we want your worms to arrive in good condition, we may delay shipments if the weather conditions are extremely hot or cold. For the Live Guarantee to be valid, the worms have to be signed for and accepted on the first delivery attempt. Please make sure that someone is at your address to receive the delivery. If nobody will be available to accept the worms, just let me know when you are ordering to write, "HOLD AT POST OFFICE FOR CUSTOMER PICKUP" on the outside of your box. We will then guarantee the worms for 24 hours at the Post Office, allowing you plenty of time to pick up your worms. Failure to accept the worms on the first delivery, or failure to pick up the worms within 24 hours at the post office will void the Live Arrival Guarantee.

Worm Shipping Methods
We normally ship via USPS 2-3 Day Priority Shipping. Worm orders received and paid for by Saturday will be shipped the following Tuesday. Occasionally, when orders are extremely heavy, we may ship on both Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing us an extra day to harvest.

Worms Received
Please understand that You are responsible for the care and condition of the worms once received. We make every effort to satisfy our customers. Please let us know immediately upon receiving the product if there are any problems with your order.

We will consider that the worms have been delivered alive unless we are notified within 3 hours of the time that the carrier scans or enters them in as delivered. Please do not dispose of the worms or the original package until you contact us. Do not refuse the delivery.

General Notes
Our policy is to use the most timely and economical methods for shipping your purchase. Should you wish a faster service other than what is indicated on the product detail page, please email us your request and we will quote you the extra shipping charge.

Some items include shipping. For all others please choose the appropriate option on the product detail page.

If you are ordering more than one item, we may be able to place multiple items in the same box in order to save you on the shipping cost. We will adjust the shipping charge when we process your order and issue a credit to your account.

Vermiculture.ca make every possible effort to (re)use recycled packaging materials collected from local businesses; unfortunately, we are not always able to control the type of packaging used by our 3rd party shippers. Please help close the loop by reusing or recycling all packaging materials.

Sorry, but some items cannot be shipped to PO boxes unless special arrangements are made.

Worm Bins ship immediately upon receipt of payment and take longer to arrive than the worms (shipped via USPS Priority Mail). We recommend to wait for Worm Factory to arrive before having worms shipped to insure that worms do not arrive before their home does, "The Worm Factory". And you'll have time to jump start the learning curve before the worms arrive.

Worms are shipped Mondays via USPS Priority Mail or Canada Post Expedited. If a Monday falls on a holiday or if there is a holiday in that week, the worms will be shipped on the following Monday to avoid any layover.

SHIPPING TO CANADA:

Worm Bins and Misc. Supplies: We use either USPS air parcel (4-6 days, this does not include the time it takes to clear customs*).

Books and CD's: We use USPS Global Priority. Transit time is 4-6 days, this does not include the time it takes to clear customs*).

Worms: We use Canada Post Express

*For our Canadian clients for items shipped from our USA location: Duty, GST, and any other applicable taxes are the responsibilty of the customer.

SHIPPING TO THE USA:

The vast majority of items on this site are shipped via United Parcel Service or Fedex Ground. Shipping charges will be calculated based upon the weight and size of the product you are purchasing and the geographic zone in which you live. All products sent UPS are fully insured for their retail value.
