Red Worms - General Information
The purpose of this page to answer some common questions about the red worms that we supply.
  1. We only ship worms out on Monday's to avoid a long lay over at the post office.
  2. worms are shipped via USPS priority or Canada express post.
  3. General shipping times are 2-3 days.
  4. Worms for USA clients are shipped from various places in the USA, depending on the destination.
  5. Worms for Canadian client are shipped from various places in Canada depending on the destination.
  6. We do not ship small quantities (1-5 lbs) across the border.
  7. For larger orders please contact us for a quotation.
  8. We have been receiving feedback from our Canadian clients regarding the price difference between worms for Canada and the USA. Here are some the reasons:
  • The shipping costs in the USA are about 50-60% less than Canada
  • It is cheaper to produce worms in the USA than Canada because of the climatic conditions. i.e. Worms grown in Canada need to be located in a heated structure.
  • The law of supply and demand. There are few large scale vermiculture operations in Canada compared with the USA
  • We will NOT ship worms during extreme hot or cold weather. We will wait until temperatures are more hospitable for worms before shipping.
